Carol, like Pat Beaumont suggested in her reply to you, I would try the Tuxedo Park website. You can contact the village clerk by email and ask what records they might have. It's a good starting point for you, unless you've already tried this. Also, it appears Tuxedo Park is in Orange County, not Rockland. I MUST TELL YOU ALL THAT THE Town Clerk in Tuxedo Park is a peach. She has helped me at many turns but does not have marriage records of the years for which I am searching. She directed me to Mt. Carmel Church in Tuxedo where the pastor is extremely reluctant to have anything to do with genealogy. In speaking to him at length on the phone one evening nearly two years ago he made it quite evident he didn't believe the English had ever mistreated the Irish and would have nothing to do with propagating such hogwash. For that reason he had no interest in assisting anyone in finding their roots. I have been in touch with a Chris Sonne who is the town historian as recently as two weeks ago and he advised nothing has changed with this pastor who leads me to a dead end each and every time. It is for this reason I am now hoping the State records will have what he will not look up for me. Thank you all for your kind advice and concern, please keep your fingers crossed!
