    3. If anyone is going to the New York State Library, would you please find out the names on the marriage certificate #15632, Aug.26, 1896 for Waverly, Tioga County? I am hoping it is the marriage certificate of my grandparents, Edward D. Hogan, and Blanche Polvent. Edward lived in Waterford and worked in Troy. Blanche lived in Cohoes and did collar work for a Troy company. I have looked for many years in all the usual places for their marriage record, to no avail. In cleaning out my records, I found a note written on a pink notice with New York State Library letterhead. This note contained my grandparents' names in my handwriting, and the above information in a different handwriting. I know I visited Albany on a research trip many years ago and was helped by a volunteer genealogist in the Library. Perhaps she is the one who got this information for me. It is so long ago that I cannot remember more. However I cannot fathom why I didn't follow this up.-except perhaps at the time I just ruled this out as a possibility because it was out of the immediate vicinity of where I knew the couple lived. I'm older and wiser now and know they could have easily gone to another county for their wedding for a variety of reasons. Thank you in advance for your trouble. Pat Beaumont

    3. I was wondering if you could give me more information on this New York State Library. Is this someplace you can write or go on line to and request a search for records for a fee? I have been searching for my ggrandparents wedding certificate for over 40 years and was just informed they married in the Tuxedo Park, NY area around 1895. I would love to get this info. Do you have any experience with the Library and what they offer? 3. Carol, I only visited the library once many years ago, because I live a distance from it. However if you Google New York State Library, Albany, New York, and get the home page of the library, you will find a list of their extensive collection. Tuxedo Park is in Rockland County New York, and I know that the library in New City, NY has a very good genealogy section. I met someone from the county at a conference last year and I think they had a lot of material printed up from their resources. Perhaps you might give the library a call and find out .You could also contact the clerk of Tuxedo Park. Sorry I am not more help. Pat
