    3. Thanks for the update, I have booked marked the site and shared the info with extended family. Of course I was pleased to see my GG Uncle Richard Buckley's name inscribed on the monument. jeanne <bostonirish@sprintmail.com> wrote: I've enjoyed the stories of the baseball players as well. My dad (now 86) can recite the Evers to Tinker to Chance play in great detail. Dad's grandmother & aunts; Johanna, Bertha, & Nora Minehan lived at 356 First St and I believe the Evers family also lived there for a while. We also have a connection to the Troy baseball: Daniel J. Minehan. He is "somehow" related to our Minehan clan only we have not closed the gap yet. Daniel began his career with the Buffaloes. He also played with Glen Falls and Minneapolis in the Western League. He led the league for a season in batting average and won an award of a silver bat. He also played with the Louisville Nationals and Paterson NJ teams. At his retirement he was an umpire with the New York State League. His decendants remain in the Troy area. In fact an interesting monument to Troy baseball can be found at: http://www.ballparkreviews.com click on "places" and you'll see a monumnet for Troy Ny it will show the photos. There is another site his relative found about Troy baseball , I will send that out as soon as he gets it to me.
