Sunday May 25 ,2008 TroyRecord Article 100years ago Monday May 25 ,1908 “Evidence mounts in the trial of Frank W. Carrington with the testimony of accountant Justus H Davis saying Carrington could have altered records by dissolving earlier entries with acid. This statement is challenged by defense attorney Lewis E Griffith who says that would have left a yellow stain on the page.Davis also testifies ,in the case of taxpayer M.L.Stevens, the stub and the bill don’t match, implying Carrington destroyed the original and forged a new one.
