Carol, Thank you for your kind offer to share further information about your Timothy O'Brien. Unfortunately, I know nothing more about the John O'Brien that I spoke about in my previous post other than what I've already said. He was still young & vigorous enough to carry a casket in 1938 but that is the extent of my knowledge. I would love to know his parents' names! You mention that a John O'Brien & a William O'Brien were pallbearers for your Timothy O'Brien in 1918. There is a William O'Brien in my family...he was the son of Dennis O'Brien & Catherine Clancy. If these 2 men are among my O'Briens. they would be first cousins. M. Alice Mangan
Any idea where Dennis O'Brien was from. This could be the deciding factor. Also do you know the time line? Timothy's mother Mary O'Brien was born in 1834 in Anacarty, Donohill, Tipperary which is where her parents Timothy O'Brien and Catherine Costello were married. She had a sister named Josephine which I know for certain but no idea of her other siblings. Could it be that Dennis was her brother? Do you have any birth information on him? I intend to contact the Tipperary Heritage in the near future to continue my search and one of the items I will pay for are the children of Timothy and Catherine O'Brien. I currently know only two. Should there be a John in that listing I will let you know.
