    2. Gerry Duffy (whom found me here as a distant relative), who is on this list, gave me info on some of these folks. I will locate what I have and send it to you directly. jeff gaul "Let us remember, that 'if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.' According to the obituary my family member Timothy Ryan who was the son of Phillip Ryan and Mary O'Brien Ryan had the following pall bearers at his funeral. William O'Brien John O'Brien Along with Patrick McCarthy, Charles Donahue, Michael Ryan, Patrick Flanagan and Edward Pendergast. We have always wondered what prompted Timothy's move to Troy, New York since upon immigration from Tipperary through New York he had settled with his wife Ellen McCarthy in the Mansfield, Rhode Island area. I am now questioning if perhaps these two O'Brien men were cousins or even uncles. Does anyone have either of these names in their genealogy? If they are related to Mary O'Brien Ryan her parents were Timothy O'Brien and Catherine Costello O'Brien And hailed from the area of Lackenocormack, Anacarty, Donohill in Tipperary. I believe she also had a sister Josephine O'Brien who raised Mary's children after her untimely death. Thanks to all for the great work you do. 3. Thank you so much for anything you can find. In looking over the email I posted I realized that I did not put the date. The funeral was on 4/18/1918.
