    3. Carol, I think the first thing you need to do is to determine where in NYC they lived. Then you can go to your local library at look at a directory of Catholic Churches for NYC. There is a book and the title escapes me at the moment that will give you the dates of origin of the church, etc. I had to do this to find an ancestor in Manhattan. Don't assume anything. I also have two Catholics who were married in a Methodist church in lower Manhattan. Maybe she was pregnant? In another instance a cousin sent me a marriage record and when I contacted the church for a baptismal record, I also received a marriage record which gave a different date. She too was already pregnant. So, just keep digging and good luck. Hi If you go to the followingo URL you can look up births, deaths, marriages for Manhattan, Kings County, Queens etc etc. http://italiangen.org/vreclist.stm (I know it will come up as an Italian website but I have found Irish, german, etc names on it.
