Her mother was Brigit Benson Maria had a daughter named Harriet Scholan born about 1857 as they appeared on the 1860 census with Brigit. Maria married William W. Powell about 1861-1862 possibly in a catholic ceremony. They had 8 or 9 children all born in West Troy.
