OK, so this name is German, not Irish. But it IS Troy! My Steinway/Steinweg (Jacob) was from Hesse Cassel (Bavaria) Germany prior to coming to Troy (1856). Maybe one of the piano Steinway's! (I'm told it's a relatively small line in Germany.) It is around the same time that Henry came over (1851). And to the Port of New York, too.
