When Fred Shafer of Albany cried out that someone was trying to pick his pocket,patrolmen converged on the scene,arresting Jesse Van Denburgh and Elijah Cullman Grimshaw.Van Denburgh is free on bail but Grimshaw ,even though insisting he is a clergymen, remains in jail. Police say he is a criminal with a national reputation ,but Rev Joseph H.E.Rickard of Third Street Methodist recalls that Grimshaw assisted him in a religious revival in Yarmouth in 1900.
