    3. I have a VISTA, and have a few comments. I have found it a little difficult to use, alot of bells and whistles that take time to figure out. The one important thing I want to tell you, that I found out the hard way is that VISTA is apparently not compatable with the MacAfee anti-virus, which is preloaded onto the computer. It blocked my emails/internet. I had to pay Microsoft $59 to fix the problem, and the computer was only 3 weeks old. I finally found someone at DELL who advised me to download AVG antivirus instead of MacAfee, and it was free! It was what this technician used on his own VISTA. I haven't had a problem since. Good luck! Julie > Yes! Does anyone else have VISTA that wants to comment? I couldn't find > a > computer that still has XP. 3. I've enjoyed the stories of the baseball players as well. My dad (now 86) can recite the Evers to Tinker to Chance play in great detail. Dad's grandmother & aunts; Johanna, Bertha, & Nora Minehan lived at 356 First St and I believe the Evers family also lived there for a while. We also have a connection to the Troy baseball: Daniel J. Minehan. He is "somehow" related to our Minehan clan only we have not closed the gap yet. Daniel began his career with the Buffaloes. He also played with Glen Falls and Minneapolis in the Western League. He led the league for a season in batting average and won an award of a silver bat. He also played with the Louisville Nationals and Paterson NJ teams. At his retirement he was an umpire with the New York State League. His decendants remain in the Troy area. In fact an interesting monument to Troy baseball can be found at: http://www.ballparkreviews.com click on "places" and you'll see a monumnet for Troy Ny it will show the photos. There is another site his relative found about Troy baseball , I will send that out as soon as he gets it to me. South Troy was where we always came home to. I can also remember Linden Ave being called Hoboken. 2. I might be wrong, but Marshall's still had people working there later than 1950. We had a puppy in 1953 that got out of the yard (I grew up on Fourth street between Madison and Monroe) he followed a woman, who worked there to work. My mother's family referred to Linden Avenue as Hoboken or the back way. My mother's Grandparents were split between South Troy and the Mt Ida area. When she saw her father's family she came down the back way. My mother grew up on Congress Street by the Farnham (my spelling might be off) Steamer, which is now a Stewards. 2. The May meeting of TIGS will take place next Thursday, the 15th, at the Redfront Restaurant. The meeting starts at 6:30 and we are hoping to increase attendance. Please foward any agenda to items to me this month as Donna will be busy with her son's upcoming wedding, congrats!!! Also please show an interest in the group by casting a vote for our slate of officers in this year's election. We consistently reach out on the list for participation and do appreciate your responses. Kris **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food.
