    3. There was no NYS census for 1885 nor 1895. There was one for 1892, however. Montgomery County returns are extant for all NYS censuses from 1855 on. Available on microfilm from the LDS libraries. The 1865, 1875, 1892 and 1905 returns are also on line at FamilySearch.org. (While all counties were included, many county returns for individual censuses are lost or missing.
