William Sweet, born ca 1772 in Rhode Island , died Nov 7, 1854 in Gouverneur, NY ,buried in Richville, NY Married Hannah Clough They moved from Hartford, Washington Co, NY to Ticonderoga after 1816. They were still in Ticonderoga in 1830 and sometime later moved to Gouverneur, St Lawrence Co, NY where they lived out their days. William died Nov 7th 1854 and was buried in Wayside cemetery in Richville, NY. His wife Hannah continued to live on the farm beside her daughter Phebe (Sweet) Dewey until her death on Feb 10, 1868 and she was buried beside her husband in Wayside cem.
