He was formerly settled at Marshfield in this state, but retired from the ministry several years ago. ********************************************** Buffalo, saturday, Dec 13, 1851 Christian Wanner was murdered this morning by his brother B. Wanner, during an altercation concerning money lent to Christian by his brother. The deceased was stabbled int he thigh and lived only half an hour. The murderer is in jail. **************************************** yesterday morning Jeremiah Quinn was arrested and charged with highway robbery of a German man named Frederick Lutz. *************************************** Patrick Reed living in Washington Street was hit over the head with a stone from Jack Norton, alias Lee, who quickly rifled his pockets of $7 in cash ************************************ Yesterday Dec 14, 1851, a gang of midnight rioters wer screaming and yelling and disturbing the peace of residents. Four of the ring leaders were taken to the station house and they were: Michael Honnetra Micharel Harper James Drew James Harper **************************** Saturday nite, John Malady of 14th street and 3rd Avenue, had a quarrel with his wife and children which resulted in his being severly injured int he head and ejected froom the premises into the street where he was found by police who found him in a dangerous condition and took him to the hospital. ***************************************** Ellen Sullivan was arrested for stealing $190 in gold coin from Jeremiah Reidly of 18 cherry street. *********************************************** On Friday Morning, John Francis Schoisnell charged of robbing Peter Hallgastner. They were on the packet ship Evans from Havana. When the ship arrived Schoisnell tolk the captain a trunk was his when it actually belonged to Hallgastner. ********************************************** yesterday morning Wm. Kerr living in Hudson near Johon Street tried to cut his throat.
