With a card written "Mary Ann Wilson". ***************************** Michael McGure, employed by Mr. William Langdon at the Atlantic docks, was caught in the machinery, taken to the city hospital and later died. *************************************** James Brennan was killed by a falling of a bank of earth in Smith street at Bergen's Hill. This is the 4th or 5th person killed or maimed this week. ******************************************** Jas Murphy drowned at Gowanus Bay while ice skating, he fell through the ice. *************************************** Two Children of Dr. Winnof Georgia were killed as they were riding in a carriage, by the Macon cars, on the 14th of Dec 1851, Two others were mortally injured and Mrs Winn was badly hurt. The driver of the carriage who was drawn at the time was also killed. **************************************** In Wolfboro, New Hampshire Dec 23, 1851, Wm. Tebbets house burned. Mr Tebbet's senior perished in the flames. His wife and 2 sons were rescued. A daugher and infant was badly frozen. ************************************** A steam boiler, used to heat the City Alms house at Dear Island exploded this morning and killed Thomas Chase. ******************************************** Early Monday evening an altercation took place between Patrick H. Dwyer and John B. Russell, brothers-in-law, living at 200 Plymouth street, during which Dwyer drew a knife and stabbed Russell.
