Mr. Clark and officer in the custom house, had a difficulty with Mr. Harry Harrison which came near resulting in a duel, but was finally adjusted. Shortly after the parties met in the Gem coffee-house, when William Harrison brother of Harry Harrison, renewed the difficulty against his brother's wish, and clark agreed to go out in the streets and fight him. He borrowed Harry Harrison's pistols. Seconds were chosen, and the parties went out on the streets, measured off the distance, and fired at the work.
