Mrs. Bulger Wants $5,000 for Killing of Her Husband. Mary Bulger is suing William Horsell in the Superior Court for $5,000 damages for causing the death of her husband. It will be remembered that Horsell struck Bulger on the head with a club in the saloon of the former, on Grant Street, last April. Horsell was indicted and tried for manslaughter, but was acquitted on the ground of self-defense. ALLEGED WIFE-BEATING. One of Her Ribs Broken and Other Severe Injures. Robert N Boosinger of No. 351 Seneca Street was arrested by Specials Sullivan and Holmlund late Thursday night on a charge of assault in the second degree. The accusation was made by his wife. She claims that he brutally assaulted her. Early yesterday morning she went to the Finch Hospital, and there it was found that one of her ribs was broken and she had other severe injures. He claims that she is not his wife and that she fell down stairs while on a drunk. Boosinger is still locked up. ONE MORE BURGLAR. He Confessed the Offense and the Stolen Goods Were Recovered. M. J. Sanderman’s carpenter shop, No. 66 Eagle Street, was entered one day last week and a lot of carpenter’s tools and a fancy table stolen. Detectives Taylor and Reagan last night arrested J. W. Canton, a painter, 30 years of age, on a charge of burglary and larceny, and recovered the stolen property. He admitted stealing the goods, and yesterday morning Justice King held him for the Court of Sessions. He has been arrested for similar offenses in Cleveland and Toledo.
