On the Rutland and Vermont railroad yesterday, when near Rutland the freight train was thrown down an embankment because of a misplaced switch. The fireman was killed and Mr Taylor, the conductor had his leg broken. Last evening the engine and forward car of the train from Newton was thrown off the track of the Worcester Railroad, by a heavy iron rail being maliciously placed on the line. One hundred passengers narrowly escaped death. The five o'clock train from Milford last evening, ran over an Irishman, killing him instantly. Yesterday before noon a train on the Branch railroad, between Salem and Lawrence, ran over a sleigh containing a gentlemen and several children. The gentlemen and one child were instantly killed.
