John Hervey who arrived in the steamship Brother Jonathan on last friday was in a feeble state of health. He was in San Juan waiting for the steamer to depart. Death by southern fever. Hervy left Millwood Village, Grunsy County, Ohio in March 1850 with six men all of whom embarked for the gold diggings.
