Rochester, Monroe, NY Times Union June 13, 1925 GRADUATE NURSES RECEIVE DIPLOMAS AT STATE HOSPITAL Six graduates received their diplomas at the graduation exercises of the Rochester State Hospital School of Nursing held in the assembly hall last evening. Those who received the diplomas were: Donald Bruce McLAREN, Frances E. TOLL, Willard E. WEISS, Julia A. REARDON, Irene M. WILKINS and Kenneth CAMERON. Two musical selections were given by George F. FRANK, accompanied by Miss Hal PIERREPONT. A violin solo was given by Miss Susan TOMPKINS QUERY and the TOMPKINS-QUERY Orchestra played the processional. The graduation address on "Building" was given by Miss Mary LAIRD, director of the Public Nursing Association. Diplomas were presented by Dr. Eugene H. HOWARD and the Rev. R. Ridgley LYTLE, Jr., gave the invocation and the blessing. A reception and dance followed the exercises. ** ANNOUNCE FLOWER CONTEST WINNERS East Bloomfield, June 13 - Miss Hazel CONVERSE, teacher of biology, conducted a contest in the recognition of various flowers, Friday. First prize was won by Helen ROGERS and second by Hazel FOX. The prizes were books on flowers. Clara APPLETON also received honorable mention. During the school year, flower calendars have been kept. The object of this was for each pupil to bring in flowers, and the one bringing in the most varieties, and the first of the variety received so many points. Helen ROGERS also brought in the most varieties for the calendars. ** WESTERN NEW YORK DEATHS JACOB TELLIER Newark, June 13 - Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon for Jacob TELLIER, who died at the Newark Hospital Wednesday morning after an illness of four weeks of pneumonia. The Rev. Benjamin DE YOUNG, pastor of the Arcadia Reformed Church, officiating with burial in the ast Newark Cemetery. Mr. TELLIER was born in Holland, May 30, 1882, and when an infant came to this country and had lived in Newark practically all of his life, and had been employed as stationary engineer at the Newark State School. The deceased is survived by his wife, three children, Susie, Chester and Arthur; four sisters, Mrs. Edward FISHER, Mrs. Byron FARNSWORTH, Mrs. F. COLEMAN and Mrs. Henry BURDETTE, and three brothers, William, Abram and Cornelius TELLIER. * HARRY BRISTOL Avon, June 13 - Harry BRISTOL died Wednesday in General Hospital, Rochester, following an operation for appendicitis, aged 53. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. BRISTOL and is survived by one brother, Fred BRISTOL of East Avon; Mrs. M. H. BIGELOW of Atlantic City, N. J.; Mrs. John CURRY of East Avon, and Grace BRISTOL of East Avon. * EDWARD A. CATCHPOLE Geneva, June 13 - Funeral services for Edward A. CATCHPOLE, who died last Tuesday afternoon at Bellows Falls, Vermont, were held from St. Peter's Church, Geneva, this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Mr. CATCHPOLE was sales agent in the Eastern territory for the Egery Register Company of Dayton, Ohio; and had headquarters in Albany. He was a member of St. Peter's Church and also of the Hydrant Hose Company. The bearers were Messrs. Peter R. COLE, Jessie BARKER, Perry M. JACOBS, A. J. HAMMOND, Charles WHEELER and Frank W. WHITWELL, Dr. Ross Randall CALVIN had charge of the services. Members of Hydrant Hose attended the funeral in a body. Burial was made in Glenwood Cemetery. * MRS. M. A. ARLINGTON Middleport, June 13 - Mrs. Mary Ann ARLINGTON, widow of the late Robert ARLINGTON, died Friday afternoon at the home. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Alfred COOPER and Mrs. Susie FERRIS of Middleport, Mrs. Warren DAVENGER of Lockport, and Mrs. William WOODWARD of Barker. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon from the late home. Burial in West Ridgeway Cemetery. The Rev. F. C. HOUSE will officiate. * SOPHRONIA RICE Sodus, June 13 - Word has been received here of the death at Port Huron, Michigan, of Sophronia RICE, aged nearly 87 years. For several years she was a resident of Sodus. She is survived by a nephew here, Judson E. RICE, and she has several nieces. * MRS. K. A. WILSON Albion, June 13 - The death of Mrs. Kate A. WILSON, 70, wife of Philip B. WILSON, retired farmer, occurred yesterday at the family home. Mrs. WILSON was born in Oswego. Most of her life was spent in the town of Carlton where her husband was a well known farmer in the vicinity of Waterport. She was a member of the M. E. Church and besides her husband leaves two children, Edith B. WILSON of this village and George H. WILSON of Waterport; also three sisters, Mrs. Joseph BELL, Hettie BURT and Jennie BURT, all of Oswego, and one brother, Myron BURT of Oswego. The funeral service at the home will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Mount Albion Cemetery. * JAMES I. BOLAND Albion, June 13 - James Ignatius BOLAND, 43, died yesterday at the family home, 344 Jefferson avenue, Rochester. He was a machinist and was born in Seneca Falls. He leaves his widow, Zetha DONOHUE BOLAND, formerly of this village; a son, Paul BOLAND; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret FEENEY, and Mrs. Mary SCHNURR, also one brother, Frank (H or B) BOLAND of Rochester. The funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Rochester. * WEDDINGS BETTERIDGE - LINFOOT Caledonia, June 13 - At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William LINFOOT, in the town of Wheatland, their daughter, Alice, was married on Wednesday evening in the presence of a large number of friends, to Warren BETTERIDGE, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred BETTERIDGE of West Brighton. The ceremony, with the Episcopal ring service, was performed by the Rev. Robert G. HIGINBOTHAM of the First Presbyterian Church of Caledonia. * MASON - KIME Webster, June 13 - The marriage of Estelle Mae KIME, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William KIME, and G. Harold MASON, son of Mr. and Mrs. George MASON, was solemnized Thursday morning at the rectory of Holy Trinity Church, the Rev. Father HOEFEN officiating. * MULLIGAN - HOSEY Manchester, June 13 - Married Wednesday morning at St. Dominics Church, Shortsville, by the Rev. John J. GANEY, Mrs. Margaret HOSEY of Farmington to John MULLIGAN of Manchester. They left for New York. * PACKARD - EBNER Webster, June 13 - The marriage of Miss Constance Mae EBNER, and Frank Stephen PACKARD of Elmira took place at the home of the bride's mother Thursday afternoon. Beatrice and Irving BRODIE were the attendants. ** DAILY DEATH ROLL Albert C. FULCHER, father of William FULCHER, member of the Rochester Police Department, died yesterday in St. Mary's Hospital, aged 71 years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Amelia PENDELL of Camden; two sons, Charles of Camden and William FULCHER of this city and six grandchildren. The body will be removed to Camden for burial. Albert R. BRUNET died yesterday at the home, 56 Bronson avenue, aged 56 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amanda BRUNET; one daughter, Miss Ellenore BRUNET, and three sons, Oscar, Leon and John BRUNET. Charles J. FORD died yesterday in this city. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine FORD; one son, Frank E. FORD, and two nieces, Mrs. Elizabeth LE CLAIR and Mrs. Alfred GILLAN, both of Toronto, Ont. The body was removed to Mooney Sons funeral parlors, 93 Edinburgh street. Carl SCHWARTM of 33 Carter street died yesterday, aged 58 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose SCHWARM; two daughters, Miss Louise SCHWARM of Englewood, N. J., and Mrs. Stanley NIXON of this city; two sons Gustave and Ernst SCHWARM of this city. Mrs. Fanny P. Y. MARSHALL, died yesterday at the home, 6 St. Clair street. The body was removed to Hedges Brothers funeral parlors, 182 East avenue. James Ignatius BOLAND died yesterday at his home, 344 Jefferson avenue, aged 43 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zetha DONOHUE BOLAND; a son, Paul Richard; a brother, Frank BOLAND, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret FEENEY and Mrs. Mary SCHNORR. Mrs. Maria CONIFF FOGERTY, widow of the late Timothy FOGERTY of Macedon, died last night at her home, 129 Meigs street. She is survived by one son, John H. FOGERTY of this city; three daughters, Margaret F. BOWDEN of this city, Mrs. L. W. WELCH and Mrs. W. J. PAYNE of Fairport. Barbara MOTTOLA died today at her home at 534 Central avenue, aged 74. She is survived by her husband, John MOTTOLA; two sons, Phillip and Charles, and one daughter, Mrs. Rose BARRICELI. Mrs. Lena OTT McNALLEY, wife of George A. McNALLEY, died last night at the family home, 223 Lincoln avenue, aged 55 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Earl A. and George A., Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. John TELBAN, and Alice M. and Anita M. McNALLEY, all of Rochester; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie J. BRANDT of Ontario, and Miss Monica E. OTT and Mrs. Mary STORING of Rochester; and one granddaughter. The body of Mrs. Mary LESCHORN FLECK, wife of Frank FLECK, who died at her home in Chicago, will arrive in this city tomorrow morning and will be taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred OTT, at 23 Vermont street. Besides her husband. Mrs. FLECK is survived by three stepdaughters; one sister, Mrs. Fred OTT; one brother, Fred MUENSTER of this city, and two brothers in Germany. Mae B. MURRAY of 784 Maple street died in this city this morning. She is survived by one brother Thomas of this city.
