JOHN CRAMPTON Former Resident of Stafford Dies in Mobile, Ala., at the Age of 87 Mrs. Harriet CRAMPTON of Mobile, Ala., widow of John CRAMPTON, an early resident of this section and mother of Dr. Orson L. CRAMPTON, ex-superintendent of the United States Marine Hospital at Mobile, died in Mobile yesterday, aged 87 years. She had been in feeble health some time, owing to an attack of paralysis. Mrs. CRAMPTON was a woman of strong character and admirable personal qualities. She had a wide circle of friends, both in this vicinity and in Mobile, who will mourn her death. She was the oldest daughter of the late Oliver CAMPBELL, one of the first settlers of the town of Stafford, and a sister to the late Levi O. CAMPBELL of this town. The remains will arrive in Batavia on Thursday morning, accompanied by Dr. CRAMPTON.
