Batavia, Genesee County, NY Batavia Paper (unknown name) July 13, 1898 Mrs. WHITCHER'S Possessions Poormaster FORD, who has been assisting Mrs. Rose WHITCHER for some time, went to her house this morning and made an investigation in regard to the large amount of new goods Officer PLATO reported yesterday to have found in her possession. The officer also understood that she had about $2,000 worth of diamonds. Mr. FORD ascertained that the goods were some which she has had for a number of years and most of the clothing she had made herself.
