    3. New York Times, 25 December 1903 Father Phil E. Ahern, chaplain of the House of the Good Shepherd, in Ninetieth Street, died on Thursday at the House. He was born in this city forty-nine years ago, and received his education at the old St. Patrick's School, St. John's College, Brooklyn, and the Troy Theological Seminary. During the early part of his priesthood, which extended over a period of twenty-six years, he was rector of the Spark Hill Church, near Englewood, N. Y., and of a church at Port Huron, N. Y. A brother, William E. Ahern, of 217 East One Hundred and Fifth Street, and three sisters, one of whom is Sister Eugenie in St. Agnes's Convent, Hoboken, survive him. The funeral services will be held to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock at the Church of St. Francis de Sales, Ninety-sixth Street, near Lexington Avenue.
