John at once plunged into the water without ascertaining its soundings, and found himself beyond his depth, and not being a swimmer, sank to the bottom and was drowned. The deceased lived in Pennsylvania, where he recently lost a little brother by being kicked by a horse. He had relatives in Le Roy, and had only been here a few weeks.
