Harriet E.Wiley was born near Lockport March 28,1839, and most of her early life was spent in this city, June 6,1861, she was married to Capt.W.H.Mapes. After the close of the war they resided in this city until 1879, when they removed to Kansas. Mrs.Mapes was for year an active member of the First Congregation Church of this city.
