    3. FATAL ACCIDENT.--We are pained to record the sudden death of JOSEPH HAWLEY DWIGHT,of this village, one of our most esteemed fellow citizens. On Monday, while riding in the company with his niece, Miss CATHERINE CLARKE, about six miles below the village, the horse he was driving took fright and while running, threw him from the wagon. He was found to be so much injured, that a boat was obtained to convey him home. He survived the accident until 12 o'clock on Wednesday, being most of the time in a state of insensibility. Mr DWIGHT was formerly a resident of Berkshire County, Mass., and was at the time of his death 59 years of age.--Oxford Rep.
