    3. New York Daily Tribune 31 August 1847 Died, In Big Beaver township, Pa. on the 6th inst. Mr. Joseph S. LINE, aged 88 years. The deceased entered the army of the Revolution at the age of 17 years, served in the New-Jersey line, and was in most of the important battles of the war. He was at Lexington, at Bunker's Hill, at Brandywine and Germantown, at Monmouth and taking of the Hessians at Trenton; at the Cowpens and the surrender of Cornwallis; and was a prisoner with the British in New-York for fifteen month. DIED: At Astoria, L.I., on the 29th inst. Susan H., wife of Rev. A.H. BISHOP, and daughter of O. HOLMES, Esq. The friends of the family are requested to attend her funeral this afternoon, at 4 o'clock, from her late residence, without farther invitation. On Monday morning, 30th inst. of remittent fever, Lodowick S. ROSE, in the 36th year of his age. His friends and acquaintances, and those of the family, are respectfully invited to attend his funeral without farther invitation, this morning, at half-past 6 o'clock precisely, at his late residence, No. 42 Hamilton-st, as his remains will be taken to Middletown Point, N.J. for interment. On the morning of the 30th inst., Cornelius POLHAMUS, in the 82d year of his age. His friends and those of his son, Richard J. POLHAMUS, are requested to attend his funeral, on Wednesday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, from his late residence 75 Hester-st. On Monday afternoon, 30th inst., after a short and severe illness, James A. WASHINGTON, M.D. The friends and relatives of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral from his late residence, No. 752 Broadway, on Wednesday afternoon, September 1, at 4 1/2 o'clock, without farther invitation. On Friday, 27th inst., at the residence of his father, Penn's Manor, Pa., Hector THOMPSON, Jr., of the firm of J.W. Vail & co., of this city, in the 30th year of his age. At Buffalo, on the 25th inst. Mrs. Mary P., wife of Hon. Samuel WILKERSON, and daughter of the late Gen. Absalom PETERS of Connecticut, in the 52d year of her age. On Sunday morning, Edward W. infant son of Edward W. and Jane TELFAIR, aged 7 months and 12 days.
