Therburn, at Astoria, L. I. Their rose trees are now in full bloom, some of them having no less than a thousand of the queen flower clusterng in beauty and fragrance on their branches. Among the varieties of the rose to be found in the Therburn gardens are many of the kind so much admired in the pleasure gardens of Paris. Besides the attraction presented by the rose gardens, the Astoria ladies will present another. They are to hold a festival on Thursday next to aid the fund for building a new Presbyterian Church in the village of Astoria. The festivities are to be celebrated under a large canopy upon a lovely green.
