Y. August 16, 1863: The funeral ceremonies over the remains of this distinguished Irishman, who, during his quiet and unobtrusive life since his advant into this country, has secured not only the esteem but the love of all of those who came in contact with him, took place at half past two o'clock yesterday afternoon, from his late residence at Astoria. Mr. Emmets demise leaves a sad blank in the gallery of eminent Irishmen and patriots. The offshoot of a noble ancstry, the deceased gentlrman never lost any of the gualities which strictly belong to true manhood. From twelve o'clock yesterday up to half past two , the time the body was removed to St. Georges Episcopal Church, the late residence of the deceased, which is situated on one of the most picturesque spots in Astoria, became the scene of a perpetual visitation by hosts of friends and admirers. among those were, Richard O'Gorman, Judges Lott and Clarke, Brian Lawrence, Mr. Kennedy and many others. The services at St. Georges were conducted by Rev.
