Article Text: New York,July 16--The death today of Patrick CUSHING, a resident American and former day watchman at the Hoffman Island quarantine station, from Asiatic cholera, has aroused some apprehension in New York of the spread of the scourge beyond the limitations of quarantine, and vigorous steps were taken today to stamp out any possible sources of infection. Health Officer DOTY himself says there is no cause for alarm.
