K. H. PATCHEN of Buffalo, NY, a member of an old and aristocratic family of the Empire State, dropped dead at an early hour today and her body is now at the morgue. Mrs. PATCHEN was a sufferer from heart disease and dropped dead in a bedroom in the house of friends on California Street here. A candle which she carried when death overtook her, ignited her clothin, burning the body somewhat and at first giving rise to the belief that the old lady had burned to death. Mrs. PATCHEN arrived here from Champenco, Gautemala where she had been visiting her daughter, Mrs. H. C.
