Article Text: New York, Aug. 24.--When the steamship Campania left this port three weeks ago, one of its first-cabin passengers was Michael DELANEY, a retired merchant of St. Louis, on his way to Queenstown, his native city. When the liner reached there he was so convinced that death was at hand, that he remained on board, and retained his stateroom for the return voyage to America. On the way back Mr. DELANEY prayed frequently that he might live to reach America. He died this morning just as the ship reached port. He was sixty years old and a victim of heart disease. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NY-Old-News ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NewspaperAbstracts.com - Finding our ancestors in the news!
