The remains of James Fenimore Cooper born September 15, 1789 died, September 14, 1851, aged, 62, were this day confined to their final resting place. The house he lived in was erected by his father Judge Cooper. The family who were present, consisted of his widow and five children, four daughters and one son. His eldest daughter is the auther of "Rural House" a noval. His youngest child is a son Saul Fennimore Cooper, Esq., a lawyer in Albany, New York. Among the mourners was Bishop Delancy, a brother of the widow. He is buried next to his father and mother, brothers and sister.
