years ago. I had his passport papers some-where but can not find them. He was born in Canada in the 1917 or so, & became a US resident some time later. Probabely when he joined the US Navy. He was in the seabees & his rank when he joined was "chief petty officer" Many people have told me that this is (was not possible) however, he enlisted at the age of 27, with one child (me) & they needed the skills he had.
