I found one Rueben Stickney in the "Index of Revolutionary War Pension Applications in the National Archives" published by the National Genealogical Society in 1976. The names are of the men that survived until the federal government offered them a pension in 1818. The federal government lost most of the records of the Revolution when the British burned Washington, DC in 1814 The information is; Rueben Stickney, Continentals, New Hampshire, claim # S 42405. Hope this is the one you are looking for. I have Revolutionary War veteran ancestors that also lived in Monroe County, NY. Perhaps land in this area was given as bounty to the veterans for their service during the war? Carl Carter
