    3. Robert's dilemma is a common one and it will get worse as the World War II vets pass away. I urge all of you who have family members that served in the Army and/or Air Force during World War II and thereafter before 1950 to copy all the military records that you can find. Make both paper and computer copies. Scan them into the computer even if they are hard to read. Copy them in JPEG format like you would a photo, do not compress and save them in JPEG format. You will be able to read them with the zoom feature and print them out at their original size. Deposit a copy with the local historical society. Future genealogists will praise your efforts. ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Mahoney <tovert@webtv.net> To: <NY-Military-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 16, 1999 9:26 AM Subject: DISCHARGE PAPERS > Hi I am > trying to get my uncles discharge papers .
