He is the best source for Michigan Civil War History info known to me. If Don doesn't know the answer to your questions--he knows where to look for the answers. Another good source would be the Official Record of the War of the Rebellion, known as the "OR"-this is a multi-volume resource available at most good sized local libraries. Has the official records for all known Union regiments & companies that fought in the Civil War. Gives a good historical account of the activities of each regiment & company.
