    3. I requested for Bounty Land info at the DC Archives for these men and I was told those paper are unindexed so they could not help me. If is possible that they have no federal connection and only state connection, but are not in the NY troop listings for 1812. that I have found. I did not find any of them in Virgil White's pension listings and the one who received a fed pension from NY that I know is not in this list. I had looked at the NYC newspaper during the 1814 period and found nothing really in the paper about the war. the troops, men serving etc. I did not do every paper for the period, just a sampling. I am hopeful of finding others whose interests match the same Regiments of the New York Troops. Perhaps if we match what little each of us know, we may find who and from where these men served. Stevens Battln: NY Volunteers & Militia Alvin Walters 1st Regiment, Dodges NY Militia: Enoch Walters Stephen Walters 2nd Regiment:, Ward's NY Militia Daniel D., Walters I copied this list ages ago (1976) and unfortunately I did not do a good job of sourcing. I wote a book on Walters at the time and I did this as part of research. Bad outcome because i can't direct you to your letter and surname. I have reason to believe that if these men are the same ones I've been following, they lived in or near NYC. But they may be men of another family with the same name. If they are the correct men: Alvin married a Merci, but he was young. for service I think. if Stephen he married Eliza and had a grocery in NYC. If Enoch he married Deborah, was a morocco dresser in NYC. I have other information. about them when we try to match. Lets match if you have any of the 3 units can you guide me to where more info is on those units for 1812 war?. Thanks. Nancy Stein
