Bob, Here in CA I had great luck when I called and the man sent me the information then even sent pictures since mine was buried there in 1916 when he died at the Veterans Home. I was able to even get a death cert. And this was all done by very friendly people there and on one of my lists. So may-be you should try another way as hospitals may be alot differant with giving info out than the Veterans Home even tho they do have a hospital there. Did you try talking to your local VA office for help. Not sure where you live but mine was most helpfull on others, as I thought this man died before 1902 in WA so had not asked about him as he was Civil War.
