Hi, I am looking for information about my uncle; Samuel Stewart. He emigrated from Toome, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland, arriving in NY on Mon 27 April 1914. Address 17-12-147th Street, Whitestone 57, Long Island, NY. He served in the US Army, the only details of which I have from a postcard sent to my family. It was posted on 5 Mar 1919 from Bordeaux, France. His address/unit was: Mobile Operations No 1 No 1 Div (??) O.E.f.i.O (??) It is now very difficult to make the address out so it could be wrong in parts as the question marks show. I would like any information at all about: His Unit/deployments How he would have joined/enlisted/conscripted? How to find out his service details - rank/army No etc Any other information that could be of use in finding more about him and his descendants.
