Dear Listers, I am researching my SCANLON line and came across Edward Scanlon who was born in New York, lived in Cerrillos, NM, joined the Rough Riders, was sent to Cuba where he took sick with Typhoid Fever, was sent back to Brooklyn, and died at the age of 24. I don't know if he is part of my family, so am looking for more info. My other SCANLON family includes Thomas or Timothy, b. 1832 in Ireland, m. Katherine MEEGAN. Their daughter Johanna SCANLON is my ggrandmother, who married Charles NOE. Their son, Charles NOE was in the Army in Europe during WWI, as part of the Lost Battalion that was mustard gassed. He suffered lung damage and died at the age of 31 in New York. Any connections out there? Army military in family: Isabella Regina REILLY, WWII Francis REILLY, WWII Anton J.
