May I prevail on someone's good nature and spare time? I have a great grandmother and father who met when their families lived at 137 and 164 Lewis St. in 1840. It looks like it's near the Williamsburg Bridge anchorage between Grand and Broome on the Manhattan side. I don't know if any houses would still be standing, but if so I would love a photo of either one or both. It was a long time ago, so I realize I may be asking for too much. I'll pay for the film, developing and mailing, so you can take a roll of film 'on me' and just reserve the couple of shots I have asked for for myself.
