Hello everyone, I found this at the bottom of my mail pile and checked the website which was listed in this message. (See bottom of this message.) It sounded like a very good "offer". I thought many of you might be interested in knowing that the offer is apparently no longer valid. Apparently the site that was listing it did not realize it would be so popular and when it was too popular, pulled it from the site. I checked the Proquest site, after doing a search for "Proquest" and apparently they are not running the free offer on that site. If anyone has additional info about accessing this information, I would like to hear about it. :-) Thanks, Joyce in CA http://www.geocities.com/jarmscoop Researching Edwards, Vail, Mulford, Conklin/g/ck etc., many more in Long Island NY area. If you have NYC or adjacent NJ research, look here. Also some nearby counties as well most likely. Sorry about all the as, this has passed through several hands before it got to me. >>>| Here is a valuable resource for some things in New Jersey (and New York City). "The New York Times" is online free until 15 Dec 2003, and then it will be gone. This isn't just the index, but every page, with most very readable! You might be able to find NJ information, obituaries, etc. It has the complete New York Times, (including the classified) from 1851-2001 It works like this: First, go to http://riversideregionallibrary.org/ Second, click on "ProQuest Historical New York Times" Third, use the guest password here, which is: welcome Fourth, click on "ProQuest Historical New York Times" again. Fifth, you are now on the search screen -- try Enjoy! ==== NYSUFFOL Mailing List ==== For the Suffolk County GenWeb site, goto: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nysuffol/ For PERSI info, goto: http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/periodicals/persi/about.htm
