Hi Linda, Thanks for contacting me. There are no Watts in the index of "Torrey's" nor "Refugees." In the "Refugees of 1776 from Long Island to Connecticut", Samuel Cox is listed as a signer in Brookhaven-June, July, August, 1775. (I believe these were signers who professed allegiance to the local government, instead of England.) The list was sent to Col. Nathaniel Woodhull, Aug. 17, 1775; signed by Richard Woodhull and Samuel Thompson, Committeemen. Additionally, there is a picture on p. 277, which has this information under it. Nathaniel Brewster-"The Planting Ground"-Setauket, L.I. (Loaned by Mr. W.T.Cox) Hope this is of some help. Also, I would appreciate the information on the Cox family that you found. Thanks for any information, Linda
