Hi all. Just signed up on this list though I've been a member of a number of lists (and moderate one) I felt the time is right to finally join this on. I'm a LI'er for over 30 years and live in Manorville, in Suffolk County. I work for the LIRR as an engineer and am interested in LI & LIRR history. Anyway, 99% of all my family lines lived in Brooklyn or NYC. Most of this research is almost done and many lines are done back in the 'old country' to the 1600's. Now I am turning my attention to my more resent roots, ie: 20th century. This is the time many of my 'cousins' migrated to the suburbs of Nassau and Suffolk Co.s. If hope no-one minds if I throw out some surnames I'm looking for in Nassau and Suffolk beginning in the early 1900's up to present day. If you have any of these surnames in your tree, please let me know: KNAUF, WITTEKIND, SCHMIDT, JUNGHANS, PARTRIDGE, WOOLEY, POETSCH, TIERNEY, RYAN, MORAN, KYM, FASIG, SENGSTAKEN, BARBER, BARNES (not the E. Hampton ones), WEBER, BOGEL. Thanks. Tom Schmidt
