If you are not in the area, perhaps someone could do a lookup for you. (I'm 3000 miles away!) You might also try a name or keyword search in the Brooklyn Eagle, which is online up to 1902. I found a number of citations for my great-grandfather in the Eagle, even though he lived and worked in Nassau County.
