Hi Terre, How are you? Thanks for your response. I have a couple messages in my mailbox from you. I believe that the Howell History is also on the longislandgenealogy.com site that I have been studying. I can't recall if I have looked for "Foster" surname there yet...:-) My Foster family is after 1900 and I am looking to connect them to the Fosters who were in L.I. area in earlier days. I have been able to find a bunch of Edwards etc. information in various places. Here is an example of my problem with Foster information or lack of it. I have Lydia Foster m. Abraham Edwards abt. 1819. He was b. Aug. 30, 1795 d. 1856 LI area. Abraham was son of Mercy Van Scoy and John Edwards according to my information. I have Hannah W. Foster m. George W. Edwards. He was b. 1858 and was son of Joseph and Elizabeth O'Neil Edwards. I have this Joseph's (above)granddaughter marrying James Foster, Jr. (after 1900)and the downline to that as well. I have many Foster family in VA listed as well....not many of my Fosters are connected to each other. I was hoping to find some parents and connections to the Fosters who married into the lines. The granddaughter of Joseph Edwards, Elizabeth Bertha Bruns who married James Foster Jr. (LI area) is my father's sister, and my aunt/cousin. I would be happy to send reports/gedcoms of the LI/Suffolk Fosters that I have information on to anyone's personal mailbox. Let me know if you want this. I am also interested in Vail, Gardiner, Mulford, Young, Downs, Conklin, and connecting lines (all spellings). I would be glad to do lookups in my files to see if I have anything on your names....
