    3. Please remember to delete much of the repeated junk when answering a post to a list. I just allowed two post to go through that has repeated things that needed to be deleted, like the stuff that Rootsweb puts at the end of every post to the list. If one is replying to a post, cut most of that post except the part that you are replying to, especially if you are replying to a post that was in a digest. If replying to a post in a digest, cut most of the digest and just leave the part you are replying to. Remember to get rid of the headings and attachments at the bottom of each post. We have more than a few subscribers that are really helpful and often take time out of their busy lives to help others on the list. I don't want to stop that and at times, like today, I don't send the posts back to the poster to cut the garbage out of the reply. I almost did so today but let them go through to see if maybe I was being harsh. However, now that I have seen them fully, I decided to send a warning. Why? Because many of us on the digest cannot figure out where the answer is when in the middle of a bunch of headings and repeated posts. So, THEY DON'T GET READ, THEY GET DELETED!!!! So, this is my warning, from now on, I will send back posts that haven't been correctly edited. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA, list admin http://www.connorsgenealogy.com [email protected]
