I have used this website before and I got lucky enough to find a group picture of the Regiment BUT that is rare. Often though you get a nice summary of history about the regiment and the Commanders names etc...When doing genealogy research, for me, what is most interesting is to also find out the history of my people and also the times they lived in. Although getting births, deaths etc can be a lot of work, what makes things fun is learning more about these people and the times they lived in.
