I know, not NY. But many NYers came from or went to nearby NJ places like Jersey City and Hoboken. I'm looking for the naturalization of my gt gt grandfather, Patrick McCaw. He arrived from County Antrim in 1855, family lore says in Maine. He is in Newark NJ, age 24, in the 1860 census. Soon after, he moved to Brooklyn and was there til near the end of life. He died in Queens in 1921. I have been looking for his naturalization for years and just can't find it. Does anyone know where I can find NJ naturalization records for the 1850s? McCaw is often misspelled McCall, McCan, McCann etc. Thanks, Virginia
